Origin Outsourcing Solutions Limited was formed in 2006 to provide outsourced services to the high technology sectors.

The company was formed by the three directors, Kenny Gall, Joe White and Keith Findlay, all of whom had worked together at Metron Technology and had been heavily involved in outsourced service provision, primarily to the microelectronics industry.

To establish the company and provide a strong platform for growth Origin Outsourcing Solutions acquired Hewvac Ltd in December 2006. Hewvac is the UK's leading independent provider of vacuum pump servicing, repair, maintenance, supply and refurbishment services to the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical devices and food sectors. Hewvac operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Origin Outsourcing Solutions.

Since acquisition Hewvac has grown significantly both in terms of revenue and capability. New products have been released to enhance Hewvac’s portfolio and further additional products are currently in development.

In April 2007 Origin Outsourcing Solutions completed a second acquisition purchasing the cleanroom garment business from Metron Technology. The new company has been named Origin cleanTech and will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Origin Outsourcing Solutions

Origin CleanTech is a leading provider of cleanroom garment cleaning and associated services. The company has a purpose-built cleanroom laundry where garments are cleaned and prepared under the strictest cleanroom conditions. Origin cleanTech serves many of the same customers as Hewvac in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical devices and food sectors.

Both Hewvac and Origin cleanTech are benefiting from the synergies. As a group we can now offer customers more and more opportunities to outsource their non core maintenance and operational activities to a trusted and proven service partner
